RP 1144WS

Clear
RP 1144 WS is an emulsifiable rust preventative formulated to leave a light, waxy film. RP 1144 WS will provide a protective film as a follow-up application to metalworking, metal cleaning, or phosphating. It is a suitable alternative to solvent-based systems which tend to present low flash points, VOC concerns, or high odor problems. The film thickness, or degree of protection, can be controlled by increasing or decreasing the concentration. The ability to vary the concentration makes RP 1144 WS an economical rust preventative solution. RP 1144 WS is a dark amber material which blends easily with water. As with other emulsion products, the concentrate should be added to water to form the emulsion. RP 1144 WS is compatible with a wide variety of water conditions. Typical in-use dilutions range from 15:1 for general protection to 5:1 for extra-heavy protection. Best protection occurs after the applied film has dried adequately (preferably 24 hours at room temperature). Typically, a 10:1 ratio will provide approximately 25 days of protection in a humidity cabinet, on sandblasted panels.
